Baby it’s cold outside!! This week was perfect for our Winter theme- which will last 2 weeks.
In Jewish Studies we learned about Tu B’Shvat. We were seeds, sprouts and watered our friends who grew into trees!
We read books about winter and snow.
We dressed warmly and played outside in the chilly weather and talked about how different it felt from a few weeks ago. Some of our friends had hats, scarves and gloves too!
We built igloos out of blocks.
In P.E. we had all sorts of winter fun!
We learned about the artist Vincent van Gogh and his paintings that looked like they were moving because of his swirly strokes. In ode to his painting “Starry Night” we painted “Snowy Night”. Our work will be on display in the school’s gallery.
We had pajama days!
And played in the snow!
We drank hot cocoa with marshmallows- Yummy!!
This has been the best week ever… until next week!
Please remember there is no school on Monday, January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Please note, unless it is raining or wet, our class does go outside for recess so please provide the appropriate clothing for the weather.
Also, I am in the midst of conducting assessments and will forward the results to you in the next few weeks.
Should you ever have any questions or concerns about your child, please never hesitate to contact me!

PS- My apologies that last week’s blog did not go out due to some technical difficulties- so this week you get two for the price of one!
