Greetings families & friends!
We had a marvelous time in Science Resource with Ms. Melanie. She discussed with us all about birds and their habitats. Then she let us all paint a bird house, that we are going to put on the playground for all of the birds to enjoy! (Stay tuned for pictures and updates, about our presents to the birds!) 🙂
In Jewish Studies, we talked all about giving to others. How we should give to those who need money, food, clothes, a friend, or just a hug! (The discussion revealed many little ones are very generous with their food & money!) Please continue this conversation at home with your little ones. They love & enjoy feeling like they are involved in something special, such as this! 🙂
We’ve been missing our dear friend Adam, most of the week because he is at home recovering from having his tonsils taken out! :/ Everyone decided to make him a special homemade “Get Well” card!! We can’t wait until he returns, we miss him!! Get well soon, Adam!!! 🙂
We had two fabulous and quite silly Share Chair sessions! Our Letter of the Week was “Dd” and we were delighted with all of the super cool “D” things…dirt, dog, dreidel, and dolphin!!! Then our Student of the Week amazed us with his awesome beach pictures with his family and his love for football! Great job!!! 🙂
We had to have two “fill-ins” for our Ema & Aba! Thankfully these two did a wonderful job! 🙂
Here are a few more pictures of us enjoying Shabbat! 🙂
Everyone is thrilled that we have the gallery piece for the month of February! We are honoring President’s Day! *Please come & check out, our insightful responses for “If we were President for the day” & our amazing handwriting on our unique one of a kind pennies!* Very cool! 🙂
Student of the Week: Romy
Letter of the Week: Pp (Nina will be sharing with us this Friday, all about the letter P.)
Show & Tell: Please have your child create a list of their favorite things! Making sure to include drawings of the items for reference. (Have them write the name of the item how they think it should be spelled next to the item!) Parents please don’t write on the list. This can be as simple as five or less items…it is totally fine if every child has a different amount. We are wanting them to be able to think up the items, then draw the items, and finally write the name of the items. *Please make sure your child is ready to bring this for Show & Tell on Friday, February 7th!*
Ema & Aba: Adam & Lexi
Why Write? is our read aloud book from February 3rd – 14th.
*Parents our word wall words are: card, list, note, story, and write. Please discuss with your child what letter each word starts with and what sound does it make.*

**Please make sure that your child has everything that they need to be successful each and everyday of school. As well as making sure that your child doesn’t bring anything that could get broken, lost, or become a distraction to them or any of the other students! Each student needs to bring in their folder, backpack, and lunchbox each day. On special days such as: Show & Tell, Letter of the Week, Student of the Week, or another specific activity that is when they should bring in items from home! We are preparing them for Kindergarten, and want to make sure they are ready! Please come see Ms. Robin or myself about any questions or concerns.**
***Since this month we are going to be talking all about writing and the different types of writing that you are able to create. I would love for everyone to several times throughout the month of February write/create a note or card for your child! Please put the “surprise” in your child’s folder this way, we are able to share it with them during Circle Time! If you have any questions please feel free to send me an email! :)***
