HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: We had another busy week at preschool! We read the book Silly Sally and worked on rhyming words. We began working on compound words and we started a new center. We are making words. What this means is that when the children come to one of the tables, there are ending words. This week it was “ig,” and “og” words. From there, we added a beginning letter to make new words. I am also sending home a book the the children are reading. It is called The Snowman. There was a new sight word, for, that we have stressed. Please make sure you have your child read the book to you. We had fun in music and P.E. with Coach Rebecca, she really gets us moving! We had fun on pajama day! We graphed our favorite toy and measured them too.

I am excited to share the Sh’ma at Bedtime program scheduled for tonight, 1/24 at 6:30 PM. The Martin J. Gottlieb Day School and PJ Library have teamed up to create an adorable program your kids will love! It will begin in the MJGDS Kindergarten classroom with a bedtime story followed by lullabies led by Hazzan Jesse Holzer. Afterwards, the kids will move into the MJGDS Art Room and decorate pillows followed by a bedtime snack of milk and cookies. It is a short program, but a FUN one that your children will adore! For more information and to RSVP, call 268-4200 ext. 147 or email firstname.lastname@example.org!
