This week was filled with spiders we learned about, animals we could touch, and visiting artists we collaborated with!
We read several books about spiders.
We also made spiders with our handprints.
We learned all about spiders- they are also called arachnids. They have 4 legs on each side. 4+4=8
We created our own Itsy Bitsy Spider story extenders.
While we continue to work on learning our letters and the sounds they make, we are connecting letters to words and words make sentences! We have added sentences to our Circle Time! We count the words in each one and are focusing on less and more, most and least.
Our letter of the week was “I”. We practiced writing the letter AND making it out of manipulative.
We LOVE shaving cream! We love to spread it around and write in it.
We met our 4th and 5th grade Buddies this week. We worked with them on creating a pic collage of our favorite things.
Jewish Studies and Music combined this week for an exciting event. We learned more about Avraham and Sarah. We also began learning songs for Thanksgiving.
The Petting Zoo came by this week and we got to see, touch, and even hold some farm animals.
We worked on rhyming with a special game and played “I Spy” with alphabet toys.
Our special guest reader was Ms. Amanda. She read a very silly book about spiders.
We worked with a special artist who came to visit, Mordechai Rosenstein.
We talked about different jobs that people have to prepare for our blogfolio videos. We talked about what we want to be when we grow up.
We celebrated Shabbat with our Aba Maximus and Ema Naomi. Thank you to all our special guests who joined us. We love welcoming you and doing the mitzvah of Hachnasat Orchim– hospitality- just like Avraham and Sarah that we learned about in this week’s Torah portion!
This was the best week ever… Until next week!
