This week was a super interactive one as we learned about President’s Day and explored the importance of good dental hygiene and healthy eating.
We made flags and President Abe Lincoln with our hands and then put together a puzzle of the Presidents George Washington and Abe Lincoln using numerical order.
In P.E. we practiced jumping rope, hula-hooping and played parachute.
In Jewish Studies we learned about the mezuzah- what it’s for and what’s inside.
Then we made our own mezuzot!
We made tooth puppets.
We learned the magic number for teeth is “2”.
We had music with Ms. Zina.
We did a science experiment to see how different liquids affect our teeth- water, milk, juice and cola. We dropped an egg in each and made predictions about what would happen….
To find out you will have to keep reading…
And so… to finish our experiment… we removed the eggs that had been submerged in the liquids overnight…
The ones in water and milk did not change colors. The ones that were in juice and cola turned icky brown!!
So we brushed the eggs that turned brown and they got lighter- but never went back to white! What does that tell you about what you eat and drink and the importance of brushing?
