This time of year is the best! We started our seasonal celebrations with Thanksgiving and continued on through to the joy that is Chanukah! We’ve been busy. In addition to all the songs and poems that we have been learning, we have continued to practice our writing skills, phonological awareness and sight words as we prepare to launch into our pre-reading once we return from Winter Break. We have also mastered our number recognition and are moving right along to addition and subtraction.
We’ve been busy!
We made Chanukiah’s out of so many different things!
We celebrated Ella’s birthday…
And Lela’s birthday!
We made Chanukah crafts….
We practiced lighting the menorah. We also practiced our addition and subtraction with the Chanukah candles and the Chanukah gelt.
We saw the vegetables that grew in our garden.
We are still practicing our writing and sight words….
